Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021, as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is in charge of covering all things including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts, and also an avid space fan was raised within the space industry. She spent five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. Through her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, and two other administrations' initiatives. She also was a frequent traveler with President Trump as well as Vice President Trump extensively. This included a secret trip with him to Afghanistan. Kristin was a television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won an Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter prior to being hired by CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate customers including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
