Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the United States and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation as well as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. In 2016, she joined ESPN. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual since the age of nine years old a useful skill that helped her secure her first position in the production department with Univision in Miami and gave her the chance to be a part of the production team for national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was hired to the CBS station to work as an sports reporter. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an investigative reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking throughout Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she was a substitute for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. She was born November 22, 1984 in Mexico City. There is an older sister. In 1992, the family settled in Miami following the move out of Mexico into the US. After a short time, her father separated from her mother and she was subsequently remarried by 1995 naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. In the summer in 2006 she took an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. Antonietta was just graduating from high school, but was already aware of her plans for what she would be doing. She loved the campus. They also offered her the degree she wanted. She graduated from high school and enrolled into media school at the University. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the director of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her by his love of journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
